Keep a Diary

One of the things I'm learning is to keep a record of everything I try. Track everything. The results can be startling. I get results from the unlikeliest of strategies.

Sometimes, however, I forget about a cool strategy. (My brain is a scary place!) So, I bought a composition book at the corner drugstore and I've started keeping notes in it. Notes on what I'm doing, notes on what I'm learning in teleclasses and reading articles.

I highlight ideas I want to try in yellow. If I try it, I mark a date next to it and highlight that with a pink marker. I wasn't smart enough when I started this to leave room for notes on how things work, so I'm debating whether to start keeping that in a database or spreadsheet. Or maybe even another composition book. Hmmmm. something to think about.

One thing I know for sure. It's time for this brain to hit the sack so I can be perky in the morning!

This book started out as a small group Bible study a couple years ago as I was facing some very severe life challenges. Marketing Adventures

The purpose of this blog is to follow the adventures of a newbie in marketing as she stumbles around the Internet trying to figure out how to effectively market her services.

Here's one thing I've learned so far: Shy yes pages are great for traffic exchanges and CPC advertising landing pages, but awful for a home page if you have a content-rich site. It aggravated people who were used to coming to my site to read articles and I got dropped from the search engines. I'll never do that again.

But do set one up for traffic exchanges and you'll get sign ups for your newsletter. Then you can begin your relationship marketing.

Here's a heads up on some pre-conference teleseminars that are being offered right now by Second Wave Success. I went to their first conference preview seminars and had the fabulous opportunity to be on the "hot seat" and get feedback about my business plan. I started their program in September, and with their help I've published a book and opened a private membership site. They get top quality folks for their conferences and those same people give the pre-conference teleseminars. The program I'm in right now is conducted by webinar, but the upcoming training is going to be at Maui in January. Hope to hear you on some of the preview calls and see you in Maui in January!
